Frequently Asked Questions

Question from a golf resort operator: Can something as water intensive as a golf course actually harvest water for use during the dry season?

It is possible to harvest and store water every rainy season. There are two times when a golf course is not generating revenue. 1.) When it's dark, and, 2.) when it's raining. Our process illustrates how to harvest and store your rainwater for use during your dry season.

Question from a farmer: My water costs are going up every year. I stopped planting some of my land because I can’t afford to water all of my fields?

Instead of letting that land go fallow use some of your land differently. Water is your new crop on that land! If you have 100 acres of land you can set aside a percentage of it and dedicate it to harvesting and storing water for the crops you do plant.

Question: I heard that it is illegal to harvest rainwater in my state?

Rules vary across the world. Some areas want to know about your water harvesting and charge you a fee and there is paperwork to fill out.

Question: What else can you do with harvested rainwater?

Most buildings that house a business already have a water harvesting system in place. It is called their roof. It is pitched and sloped leading to downspouts. Instead of directing that water down the drain, capture it in cisterns, water bladders, polypropylene tanks or as decorative water features on the property to be used for landscape watering, toilet flushing or even part of your manufacturing processing.
